While I was out hunting this morning.....

Yeah get ready for a bad karma event .😑
If your cousin could survive shooting hens, a farmers turkey and maybe a combine, I think Tomahawker will survive this karma event just fine. Maybe the pheasant gods will send him a winning lotto ticket for riding the country side of stray cats.

If people would be responsible for their pets/animals, this would never be a problem. I don't let my dog stray around the countryside or neighborhood. I expect the same of anyone who owns a cat.

It comes down to this for me. Do you want birds or do you want feral cats? Easy answer for this guy.

No he had some serious karma come down on him for doing that.

Al, that is an awesome bird! It would have made a nice mount!

I am not sure I have ever seen a cat while pheasant hunting. Its it really a problem?

It was +4 which is usually too cold for me but there was little breeze so we went out. I knocked this guy down but the dog could not see it from where he was. Walked him to the area and told him to "find it." A minute or two later he went on point, and I knew it was our bird. When I walked up, nothing visible. He broke and started digging up snow with his nose, and after a couple of feet of that he came up with the dead rooster in his mouth.

Good boy!

Spurs were only 1/2 inch and tail was shorter but he weighed only one ounce less than the Big Guy. Life is good! :)

But you conveniently ignore the "problem" aspect. Feral cats waste an enormous amount of wild birds while having absolutely ZERO redeeming value. Pheasants and the hunting of them bring joy to many thousands of people.

This guy weighed over 3 pounds and will be dinner tomorrow night. :)

Thats a mounter! What did it measure?
