last couple days wheat harvest is really going in full swing..any reports on bird numbers while cutting?
The article below "Kansas Pheasant Outlook and Wheat" is interesting. At the end of the article in the Third Party Comment section, the guy on the ground gives a positive report on what he is seeing on nesting success.

hail is common every year, always spotty, just like the thunderstorms that support it......check w/locals.
Thought I was local. We have had larger hail than normal this year and more of it and a much wider swath of it. Much more rain usual and colder spring temps.

That hail a week ago was over 100 miles wide and stretched from Ellis to Wichita. Every county in its path go something from nickel size to 2 inch craters.
