Not new but new acres of a popular one that people sign up very quickly.

I also got confirm that the CP-42 pollinator is eligible as a CCRP and pays $150 signing bonus, 50% cost share and no rental bonus. Advantage is you can put it anywhere and for as many acres as you want.

that's good news Chris, for conservationists, but really, with the advent of $7-9 corn next year, how many guys are listening? what is under the plow now will most likely stay that way, with more CRP acres to come out again this fall......i wonder if the government is trying to "sell ice cubes to eskimos"?

Maybe so but landowners have to be loving CRP as a hay bank when it may make difference between them selling their cattle or not.

Southern South Dakota will have no corn crop and maybe areas much broader than that.

Maybe they can divert some funds from crop insurance and get some dollars over to larger incentives for CRP and just a better program overall.

I know you said it was just in the rumor stage at this point, but what States would this be available in? Thanks!

maybe they could make it a requirement of crop insurance to leave 15 foot buffers around roads and streams in any field qualifying for crop insurance.
