Hope everyone is having a good season. I am fairly new to Minnesota last year was my first year hunting Pheasants here. From my foxhole it looks like bird numbers are way up. Bird numbers Winter kill

Fairly new to Minnesota. I was out Turkey hunting last week North of Cambridge. Bird numbers do not seem to be affected in this area from the weather. Lots of Roosters crowing in the morning. It looks like the birds came through the winter in good shape. What is everyone else seeing ? Thanks Tom

It was my first Grouse hunt in 24 years so awesome to get a chance to hunt them again, I have not lived in a state with Ruffed Grouse since I left home after collage. The first day was windy and a tough hunt and I only flushed six birds no shots. The 2nd...

How are things looking for the season?

Just returned from a long deployment to Iraq and trying to get caught up on recent developments. Everything looks really green but that might just be because I have been sitting in the Desert for a while. How are things looking for the birds? The lack of rain that has killed us in the past seems...

    Hunting a dog in heat

My yellow lab went into heat this week. I was thinking about taking her out for a quick Dove hunt in the morning. She seems to be doing okay. I will be hunting by my self in an area with no other dogs. Any health concerns about hunting a dog in heat? Thanks Tom
