Looking for a youth model 20 guage for a kid 4-10 inches tall,11 years old.Any suggestions? He's kind of a small kid, good athlete, neither of his parents own guns.religous fanatics.
I wish I could get him into guns, and hunting, when I was 11 I was hunting. His parents are very geeky, and well. I did get my brother out hunting last year. One time. He didn't fire his gun but he did bring nephew out.Ar15
I saw a youth model Mossberg pump, that might fit him, it was 500 bucks exclamation. He's only in the 6th grade, and they've taken him out of school and he's in some kind of religious homeschool thing. He's a good athlete. I'm sure he's going to be a varsity athlete if he plays football. He lives in a double a town. I was one of the best athletes in Bozeman when I was between 11:00 between 10:00 and 17. I was a fairly big kid, not huge, but very coordinated and athletic. My brother was a geeky band kid, not athletic, basically a string bean, tall and thin.I don't think they make them that small. Where did you find him, at the county fair? You're not kidding (kind of small)!! Put a ruler on him Goose, I want to know where he is between 4 and 6 inches. Just kidding. Does the action matter? 20 gauge? I would look for a cheap 20 gauge pump and cut the stock down. save the piece and screw it back latter.
I think the first used model shotgun my dad bought for my brother was an 1100 410 that he bought in the late 1980s. My brother didn't like hunting, and only went a few times. He was kind of a nerdy geek. Maybe I will wait another year, or maybe I can get him to go into that gun store and try that little gun out. It is really expensive for a youth model. Mossberg. I never really liked Mossberg but my other nephew I bought him a. He was a small kid really small and I bought him at 870 20 gauge youth model. He just became a lawyer, and he he just went on a 6-day hunting trip with me.My dad wanted me to have simi autos for my 1st couple guns. He said they were safer because you only had to remember one thing after the shot. The safety. He must have been wright because I never shot anyone that didn't deserve it.
I think I may wait until he turns 12, and buy him a peashooter for his birthday.I had a youth model pump mossberg 20 gauge for my first shotgun. Still have it in my safe. Should fit the bill
One of my nephews was a little tiny kid, and I bought him a youth model 870, and he shot it pretty well. He actually used it until he was well into his twenties. I don't think they make those anymore. I haven't seen any..410 or 28 gauge. Builds a better shooter according to my Dad. Never killed a pheasant with the youth 870 20 gauge I got. I grew fast and it never fit right. Cant hit anything with his wingmaster either
