Your "Go-To" gun and why?

This year I have primarily carried an Impala Plus 24 inch and have really liked it. Very light, patterns great. I shoot it well. Kinda like a poor mans franchi

I think I used six different shotguns this season, and I burned through lots of ammo, some of my ammo was 20 years old.

Thought I would show what “a go to gun” looks like. I used this shotgun primarily for 30 years. It’s seen a lot of miles and birds.IMG_5532.jpeg

Local gun shop had one of those for reasonable price. Felt good. Everything Ive ever read about them said no one can hit anything with them

Short barrels and straight stock made the balance a little different, but it never bothered me. Mine shot 60/40 which might throw someone off a little if they are used to 50/50. The straight stock hurt my wrist after a couple hundred rounds at the skeet range but that might have just been me.

I have always believed 60/40 was best for birds. Generally they are always rising. I used that gun for skeet as well. It made station 8 fun from a low gun mount.

My dad has the exact same gun. He's had it since the 80s. Company he worked for at the time allowed people to pick a gift after working for so many years, the Citori was in the catalog and he chose that haha
