Winter Road Trip

I'm off to Kansas to pick up a pup. From there traveling Northwest through Nebraska, South Dakota and to visit Friends in Western ND and a couple stops in Eastern MT.
Checking on the Wintering Birds.
Winter road trips are an annual thing for me in Pheasant country.
I'll get right out there with the Wintering birds. The only way to study what goes on as far as predation, Winter cover etc.

I'll let you know.

You won't find much of a winter here in KS. Hope you brought your golf clubs and a big cloud of rain!

Sounds like a fun trip though!
 
What type of vehicle do you use for this winter driving? Be safe and take lots of pictures!
 
The sliver that I saw of Kansas was nice. I could clearly see the drought problem. Wish You All good moisture!
I took the freeways to Lawrence then cross county to the North West. Nice country, saw several coveys of Quail there and S Nebraska.

Woody our new pup is Brittany. He traveled perfect and it was a looooong trip. Star my 4 year old Lab joined me on the trip, She and Woody bonded from the start. It's going to be a lot of fun having Woody in the family.:thumbsup:
