Go out early season next year. Just cruise around different public spots till you see a new suburban pulling a dog trailer with out of state plates. Buddy up with these guys and see if you can get a "pro" to work on training your dog. And maybe they can train you a little bit too!

Maybe a new hobby, needle point isn't too strenuous and there are very few cripples.

Some of these guys say to bring the dog to a game farm or drag around a bumper with a pheasant wing attached in grass to train a dog new to hunting. I'm sure this training helps. On the other hand, nothing can really compare to the real thing for learning can it?

Well I do a lot of the real things.I hunted a lot this year, and lost many birds.i guess critters get them.

BTW it cost me $ 2.96 total for the 2 birds I killed yesterday using mooth and another 2.96 for the one I missed…..see it’s really reasonable if you only count the hits

I have 15 boxes of shells from the last 20 years.I rarely buy new shells, except 16 and 28 ga .
