Exactly! Then change the mindset. get more of the community involved. If we spend half of the money on management, include bike or hiking trails. Maybe horse trails in some areas. Or incorporate wind turbines if possible. Or Include wetland areas with bird watching platforms. Maybe nesting sites for eagles etc…so the mindset is a local recreation area more people use, and people are proud of. My point is simply you can pay someone for 10 years, but if the land comes out of the program, all benefits evaporate. Poof, gone. It needs to be permanent. Change the mindset. Find a better way. CRP isn’t it.
