What would a person use this load for?

I was at Academy sports yesterday and saw this


What in the world would be the use for high brass 1 1/4oz 9 shot?

If I saw that at some kind of "ammo shop" it wouldn't be so weird. But to sell it at a retail shop like Academy means people are buying it. I just don't know why. Hopefully one of you can teach me something here.

Strange that academy carries them. The only thing that I can think is pest control. Eurasians, starlings out of the trees , crows in the cemetery. That sort of thing.

Why would a person want ounce and a quarter high brass for skeet?

Fiocchi Helice loads are 1340 fps with 1 1/4 oz of #7. So I'd say dove and skeet as well. Is there Helice shooting near the sporting goods store?

Not sure why they feel a need for an ounce and a quarter of 9's though.

I have shot a couple over by where we ran dogs a few years ago. But you sure don't need anything special to shoot them.

That's what I was thinking. I've personally only seen 4,5,6 shot in express long range. But I suppose you never know

Not asbad as u think. I used it on ruffies. Great load. Just try and find it anymore. I bet these are old boxes. But if it were available and I was headed for the big timber, I would buy some.:thumbsup:
