What do you lose most often?

Misplaced my golf gloves that I use for bird hunting…found them! I was happy! There’s a special opinel knife, a leatherman, and another Remington bird knife I lose regularly…oh, a special little flashlight…currently, I have them all accounted for! Can’t rest if any are missing…none are big $…just bugs me! 😠 I’m starting to use a miscellaneous plastic tote box, a few feet by a few feet…for misc items…smallish misc items…working well…hope I don’t lose the tote!

To date, I’ve shot 6 and recovered them all…not quite a sample size, but I have no misgivings using either of my 28’s that are fairly tightly choked. My Uggie that’s Skt1/Skt2 I’ll stick with for prairie and forest grouse…love that gun for those birds…👍

I’m paranoid about vehicle keys, I take extra precautions for them…e collars and transmitters and charging cords are in my “zone of concern”….have tended to stash them in various places, need to be consistent…the tote, methinks…wallet and phone haven’t been an issue, I guess they’re kept in fairly limited locations and I don’t vary too much…I’m getting old, and probably somewhat senile I guess, given the nature of this thread…guess the answer is having firm locations for these things that are smaller and easy to misplace…

Yeah that's what I started doing, just throwing everything in a in a big bin.

My brother stoned a lot of roosters with his 28 ga. Remington 1100. His main Britt at the time was solid and birds plentiful. Can’t remember him ever losing a bird when I was with him.

My keys have a tile attached to them. I have forgotten my gun once or twice :rolleyes: at home so I guess not lost.

Lost … gloves. Lots of singles. Not sure where the missing one goes. Sad since I rarely wear them so my loss rate must be high

Last year, we were bouncing around the county more than normal. We decided to try a spot 15 miles south for the "last spot of the day", before road hunting on our way home and the route home would be coming back this area.
To save miles and gas, we condensed down from 3 vehicles to just 2, leaving my pickup at the end of the last field, but near the road (unlocked of course).
I needed 2 hands to transfer my dog to another guys box, grabbed my ammo can, dog water, and vest and headed out. As we got close to this abandoned farmstead surrounded by milo, there were birds on the road, on the edge of the field, and watched several others flying into this spot. Based on current events, we decided our best plan of attack (an ambush). That is when I realized my gun was still in my pickup.
I ended up watching 5 guys step into the largest flush of birds I saw all season. It isn't my best memory....
I was also worried that someone had probably taken my shotgun in the ~45 minutes we were away. The only good news was that my gun was still there when I got back.

Yeah, different circumstances, details, etc, but been there!

Been using those plastic hunter orange license holders as my wallet. First one made it a whole year with help from duct tape. Black Gorilla of course. Now I just ask for a stack at the gas station.
