Webguy Shoots a Bobwhite

UGUIDE

Another UGUIDE first....Webguy shoots his first Bobwhite Quail at Pheasant Camp Lodge on opening weekend. He said there was about 40 birds that could bee seen and the PF Biologist did not think they were released quail from neighbor. So...this habitat stuff works!

As far as we know this is the first quail shot at any UGUIDE camps. Hey, with the new Quail Buffers going in next spring maybe there will be more!

He's getting it mounted too.

Congrats Webby, we jumped some two years ago twice in two days in Charles Mix. Didn't see any last year

Congratulations Webguy!

Chris, I sure hope those quail take hold for you. As long as they have some wooly habitat to help them make it through your winters, you should do fine. Combination hunts are the best for guys that love their bird dogs:thumbsup:

BTW, shouldn't we be seeing a new video release soon? I look forward to your vids and I'm pretty sure you're holding out on us right now:D

Atta boy Webguy!

They're probably easier to hit in the daylight though. ;)

Haha... owed ya that one Webguy.

Congratulations Webman , did you a least open your eyes when you shot the bobby :D

Way to go Webguy, you are now a member of the Quail Fraternity. We here in the west shoot Valley Quail all the time. They are a fun bird to shoot. When are you going to a 28 gauge and become a dedicated Quail man?......Bob

Sunday, we were hunting a few miles to the west of you and bumped into a nice covey. My hunting partner took 3 out of it. First time we have seen quail in that area or anywhere in SD for that matter. Have hunted the state for 14 years now and probably the worst opener we have had for pheasants.

Scott, you know I have shot a lot of Quail here in Washington. Now that you mention it. I have never shota Bobwhite either. All Valley/California Quail.........Bob

Bob,

I think I have only seen bobwhites once in a pen raised by a freind of my granddad. I goning to put the bobwhite quail on my bucket list.:D

Be careful guys, bobwhites are addictive. Wish we had more, honorable Mr. Bob will make you forsake those shifty, deceitful, ditch parrots.

oldansnew,

thank you for the heads up on bobwhites, all birds are addictive to me. I cant get enough. Lold please help me, with my addictive behavior, I cant seem to help my self I love your birds.:D

Bobwhites have ruined relationships, both with women, guns, and dogs, turned church goers to reprobates, and caused men to quit good paying jobs to become birdshooting vagabonds.

oldandnew,

I think your correct, but all bird hunting , or any hunting, has the same effect
you have to deal with your woman, and I have to deal with mine. Best of luck with yours. God help me if she reads this i'm toast.:)
