my strap vest I don't wash...its pretty much a tattered mess now anyways and needs a replacement...when your losing shells falling through the shredded holes in the pockets then its time for retirement....I wash my regular vest bout once a year....after I get all spent hulls and feathers that I can out of it...it still trashes the washer though
