Warm weather training

With summer coming up what temp do you guys not train? I there a certain temp our is it pretty much a common sense type thing
 
I will do some short training when it is not too hot. If you have a way to get them wet you can train a little longer.
 
I train everyday but adjust the session to the weather. If it is very hot and I have to do field work I will do it before sunrise. If it is water work I towels off the dog and get him in front of a fan. Many times when it is extremely hot I will do obedience work under shade trees. If you are from Minnesota and let the weather dictate what you do😄. Nothing would ever get done.

I will however give a dog a day or two off when I see negative attitude changes. One of my dogs I have been really pushing for the past ten days. Last night he growled at one of the other dogs, this was very out of charector for him. So I am giving him a couple of days off.
 
We utilize dunk tanks. One end of the field there is a pond. So if it is warm they can go cool off after the run. By the house at the start we fill a 40 gal rubber made heavy duty water tub. They climb right in and lay down. Our session consists of about 200 yards of 1/4ing, 2 birds, 1-2 retrieves. So we don't over do it at all. Also just in case over heat treatment kit is right inside the door. Never had to use it. Common sense goes a long way in not over doing it.

I keep a couple quarts of Isopropanol and 3 liters of saline in the fridge or on ice at tests. I have never used them either and I hope to keep that way.

I freeze milk jugs full of water and throw them in the crate with the dog. My dog boxes have 12 volt fans, the combination of the two really cools them down.
