I was hoping for morning hunt, clean birds, pretend to watch the Eagles scrimmage the Cowboys (sorry Joel), and then watch SKOL vs Cheeseheads. It would be awesome if JJ would honor Randy Moss with dumping mud by the goalpost.
Well for our sake us Chiefs fans hope you guys make it through…. We want to make sure we disappoint someone new in the Super Bowl

I am old enough to remember SB losses 2, 3, and 4. Dolphins-Shula, Steelers-Noll, and Raiders-Madden. Vikings faced some pretty good teams and head coaches in the 1970 super bowls.

I would like to see the Bills play the Vikings ... that way one of the two biggest SB losers (both 0-4) will get that monkey off their back.

I am a closet Bills fan but after seeing the dismantling the Chiefs put on the Steelers yesterday I think everyone else is playing for second place. Our defense was stifling with our best player on the bench. Offensively Brown coming back has changed the offense. Between that and the pedigree I think we’re a tough out

Yeah!

I will be back home and have by birds cleaned long before the game starts. Yep, lucky fella here!

Well that jinxed me! Got my limit of wet. Got a pair yesterday, this broke my "once a weekend" hunt, that I had been doing.

So far, so good, but the Pack are a second half team. With MN, nothing is "for sure" until the final horn.

If both the Vikings and Lions win this week, it will be the first time ever in the NFL, that a 14 win team did not win their division.

I spent the morning visiting with my daughter and son-in-law before they left around 12:15. I caught the single Dallas Cowboy highlight and then headed out to hunt solo on Hennepin Avenue. It’s a mile-long, small draw that’s perfect for one guy to walk solo, so it felt like the right spot for the day.

The first rooster flushed a few hundred yards in, and I got him. Another one flushed a while later, and I dropped him too. After that, no more roosters flushed, and I started thinking, "What the heck is going on?" When I reached the road one mile away from the truck, I realized the dumbness of my plan despite two beautiful roosters. About a quarter mile back, there was a slough I could walk with some cattails along the outer edge. I opted to head for that.

I gave it a shot, but only a few hens flushed. There were no roosters, which added to my exhaustion and left me feeling a little defeated. I decided to zig-zag my way over to a small pocket nearby. Sure enough, it held one rooster, and I managed to drop him.

I walked over to the slough by the road, the same spot some of you might remember from Joel’s post about a hen hitting a powerline. This was that exact spot. The dogs locked up hard on the edge of the slough, and before I could even process what was happening, about ten roosters flushed within 20 yards of us. With a limit in hand and completely wiped out, I almost thought I was imagining things. It was an incredible sight and the perfect way to end the day. Unless you ask my two dogs who were wondering why so many colored birds flew away for another day.
