I'm just saying it's a busy time and a lot of guys have already made plans for the opening weekend. Personally I would prefer a time that would be a little more relaxing with more time to visit with everyone. but hey, if a bunch wants to get together in Huron on that Friday night more power to them.

I'll actually be in Minnesota pheasant hunting that weekend. I know, doesn't make sense to you, going from SD to MN to hunt, but it's a time that some old buddies get together to hunt for a few days, have a couple cocktails and reminisce.
 
If you will let the old Chevy through the gate, I'm in for a UPH hunt. I may also have some spots open for the final weekend in TX.
 
Sounds fun, kinda hard to plan such a thing, but I am willing to try. Most of my hunting is later on in the season now because of trial season, but The pheasant hunting is better around here in Nov. and Dec. anyway.
 
Yep, you guys touched it about different hunting styles. Over the years I have recruited new hunters and have taught them my way, works great. I prefer the smaller groups with dogs; flushers and brit's. It works for us and is very enjoyable.
