I'll give this thread a bump and introduce myself,
As the tag indicates, the name's David and I live in the mountainous part of Montana. There are pockets of pheasants around and my parents' farm happens to be one of them. I'm blessed with a farming family tradition here that goes back a century or so, though it's up to the cousins now to farm the land as 130 acres doesn't feed a family anymore. Pheasants are my passion, but any flying bird will fit bill: ducks, geese, or grouse, even a turkey once or twice a year. I only recently got into hunting, but am having the time of my life doing it! My wife's terribly allergic to dogs, but I have made a number of friends with good dogs and they all love hunting pheasants with me. Here's a of couple pics:
My 2 1/2 year-old taking a picture of me and my first pheasant ever with my parents' mutt dog that retrieved it (he's been useless since).
Me and the guys who helped me get my first limit.
The last bird of the 2008 season taken in the last few minutes of light with my trusty 20 ga. CZ Bobwhite and my lucky hat.
