I am Ryan the 2nd from the left in the photo below. I am sure most of you guys know I started the original pheasantcountry.com when I worked for the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, SD for about 4 years. I decided to start my own website since websites is my business. I figured I would start a new pheasant hunting website so I can give you guys more control over the forum boards & a website that is more moderated to keep it clean and keep the spam out. I work with Tony (3rd from left in photo below).

I usually stick to hunting in South Dakota and pretty much hunt all over the state. I am living in MN these days since that is where I grew up, so I am not used to the SD out of state license until recent.

I don't have a standard crew I hunt with, but have hunted with hundreds of different people from many states. I am looking to expand my hunting in other states in the US.

I appreciate you guys registering on the site and hopefully we get to hunt together in the near future. Stick around and make sure you get the word out about the site.

Take Care. - Ryan

Hi! My name is Tony (aka Pheasants4ever) and I work with Ryan and am also a part time guide. I have been hunting ringnecks for almost 30 years now and cannot get enough of it-the hunt, the scenery, the camaraderie, the dogs, and so much more!

I hope you guys enjoy coming to the website, and we appreciate you spreading the word to friends and hunters alike. If you have suggestions, please contact Ryan or myself.

This is a pic of myself and my late hunting buddy Thunder. This was taken about 5 years ago at a friends cabin in Northern MN as we were hunting ruffies and timberdoodles. I had to put him down in August at the age of 12 1/2. I now have a 2 year old German Shorthair-wow what a change it is going from an older dog back to the juvenile ones!

My name is Ross Goulet. These are my two dogs Cole and Jaeger. Pheasant hunting is my sport of choice although I have had the opportunity to hunt many different birds in many parts of the country. My hope is that there continues to be enough land and birds so I won't have to pay an outfitter to hunt pheasants. I would like to compliment you guys on this site and will spread the word to my friends.

Clint & Darin

Clint & Darin joined myself and UGUIDE on the Ultimate Pheasant Hunt II for a leg of the South Dakota tour.

I met Clint when he was hired on as the original pc.com salesman. Clint & Darin are quite the characters to hunt with.

I got some great video of these guys & Chris (UGUIDE) hunting. I will be posting a ton of video shortly in the video section of the website.

Hey guys,
I came over from Pheasant Country to check the forum out. I am getting tired of the trash from the spamers. I have not spent as much time on that forum as in the past for that very reason.

I am a businessman in Dodge City. I also operate a small family farm/ranch. I enjoy doing habitat work for the wildlife on my piece of earth. I have pheasant, bob white quail, whitetail deer, mule deer and lesser prairie chicken. I hunt mostly Kansas, with an annual trip to Colorado in pursuit of elk. I enjoy writing about my outdoor experiences as time permits.

Thanks for the invite and
God Bless,

Maynard Reece Byrd

Hi, saw this on pheasant country, thought I would check it out. Looks good, and I hope I can contribute.

I've been pheasant hunting for a long time. IA, MN, SD, ND, WY, and MT. Now its mostly MT, becouse it takes up most all my hunting time. I also hunt other upland, waterfowl and big game. I live up in Northcentral MN, and the hunting in my home state nowdays is mostly on my own property. 06 was once again a memorable and great year for my hunting adventures.

A big part of my hunting adventures is photography, and I like to share, so if you don't mind here we go.

a couple of my hunting buddies.

My name's John. I hunt WI mostly but I've hunted MN & SD as well. Was planning to hunt IA this year too but just couldn't find the time. Anyway here's a shot of me (on the left) and a buddy, Mark, taken here in WI in late November.

Maynard, Lee, mnmthunting, & John - Good to have you on board at the site.

Well I don't have any pics to post, but I can tell you that you have a great website and a good group of people on board. I live in Wisconsin and get to Iowa at least a couple of times a year with my Brit. I didn't get started hunting pheasants until I went to college in Iowa. Even then the fever didn't hit me until I moved back to my home state. I'm blessed to have a wife who indulges me and kids that join me. Good luck to everybody and I'll see you around the forum.

Orig from SD and now living in Oakdale. Most weekends driving to see my elderly dad in Eastern SD so about 4.0 hour drive. Enjoy the drive as there are always birds along the road. Just came over from Pheasant Country and this is a great forum. Hunted SD through High School and been back about 20 seasons since. Wish it was more but that's life. Thanks for the great site. Geno:rolleyes:

I'm Darin, live in SE MN not to far from Rochester. Been hunting birds since high school (20 years ago....dang, did that just make me feel a bit older). I've got 2 YLMs, Jake who's 8 and purely a meat dog and Tuck who's 2 who's also my main phez dog plus we started running in HTs last summer. We hunt mainly in MN anywhere from home out to around Jackson, and then make it to SD 2 times a year. Hopefully next year we'll make it out 3 times, but we'll see if I can get that third pass from the misses. Here's a couple pixs of my boys...

Darin: I'm a ylw Lab guy myself. Lost my Ylw 3 months ago. Hopefully a new one will join the family soon. Geno:welcome:

Hey Geno...do you do any training around Oakdale? I've got a good friend who lives up there and has some awesome dogs. He runs/owns firestorm labs.

Darin: No training other than my own. Just an old guy who likes to be out and watch the dog work and knock down a couple birds. Geno

I'm Mike, I currently live in Milwaukee, WI. I will hopefully be moving back closer to pheasant country in early spring. I hunted pheasants in sw minnesota throughout High school, but never really got the bug until I got my first ylf Gabbi, about 1.5 years ago. It is so much fun being out with the dog and friends. This past year I hunted in sd, nd, and mn. I also hunt in WI but in the milwaukee area the birds are hard to find. This is a great site and there seems to be great group of people on the site. Happy Hunting.

Good looking Lab Darin. Welcome to the site you guys. Looking forward to hearing from you.
