Tour Kansas with Jared Daniels Band

A great tribute to Kansas
 
That would have been a good one. I have not been through Gas, Kansas in many years. Actually, I believe the images were submitted to them for the video.

As a little side note here, a Dodge City man toured all 105 counties in Kansas back in 2003 looking for the best hamburgers in the state.

I have not eaten at the Lizard Lips. I see their specials are posted on their facebook site. Guess I need to make a side trip on one of my journeys to KC.

On that list I have eaten at Fritz' in KCK where the train brings your burger to your table. And, of course, from my days in Frontenac, I frequented Otto's Cafe in Pittsburg.

I am always on the lookout for a good chicken fried steak, especially on my trips to KC. My wife doesn't let me stop for much other than chicken fried steaks and fish & chips. BBQ gives her heartburn, so have to get that on my own, although I did stop at Guy and Mae's in Williamsburg and picked up carry out for the family in KC. Once in KC it is Five Guys for burgers and Bo Lings for Chinese.

Guy and Maes didn't live up to expectations IMO, I prefer Biggs in Lawrence, especially the burnt ends.


There used to be a place in Lyons with a sign touting the "best chicken fried steak in the universe". Is no longer in that building, have wondered if that place still exists, only in a different location.


Have also always enjoyed a breakfast at The Hungry Hunter in Lincoln.

We went from Water Towers to food in one page. :D:D
The best Burger is in Meers, Oklahoma:thumbsup:
