hunted few hours yesterday....Ace pointed 1 covey and I missed the 1 bird I had any chance at. Today...Ace pointed a covey and single early this morning at first spot. wasted ALOT of time again looking for new areas......Ace did point another covey at one spot and I got one of those as well.....finished with 3 birds....they didn't come easy today I will tell you that...lol was very happy with the weather...a little windy but I aint gonna complain...will try to hunt one or two spots early in morning then have to get back home.....

thanks Steve...me TOO....lol found second covey today on a piece I hunted in December and didn't find any birds....milo with a creek running through it...just looked WAY too good not to have birds...this time we FOUND 'EM! was trying to scout for turkeys a little bit today as well.....

I have enjoyed your pictures and stories. It is obvious how much you enjoy it. Sounds like you have had some pretty good days out. I need to make more time next year to hunt my state.

yes....was long drive home today in the ice storm. LOTS of bad accidents till I got into MO. Hunted one spot quick this morning at sunrise where I knew a covey to be....Ace pointed them on a fence line. as I was walking up they all flushed...I was still about 80 yards away! was going to hit another spot but weather was getting nasty ...glad I didn't...would have made ride home alot worse. yes...I was thinking about the loooong off season now...at least we have turkey season to look forward to:cheers: I've been very blessed the last couple years with being able to hunt alot. you never know how much time you've got left on this earth so I really try to get after it every chance I can. When I was running a camera for 5 years I didn't get to hunt hardly at all....I'm trying to make up for lost time...lol
