Man I never done a voting thread. So I hope it works:)
What hunting organization does the best job with their money?
I know its a mostly pheasant group here. So us duck hunters are at a disadvantage.

Coot pheasants forever has 100% of funds raised goes to the chapters that raised the money. Same with Quail Forever. You will be hard pressed to find that in any of the ducks unlimited chapters. Thats why Quail Unlimited failed and folded last year. Lots of very upset folk who joined them...... I like ducks Unlimited too however they take a fairly large chuck of the funds raised from their chapters.

Along time ago the du chapter members here took all the good prizes for the fundraiser and replaced them with junk:mad: But the last ten years DU has really did some good things here. Plus they have awesome hunting shows:)

One of the precepts in good government, says that money spent locally returns more that allocated by a central organization, basically, money does not trickle down, with apologies to Ronald Reagan.

Not looking good for us duck hunters and they only let us vote once:mad: This should do it DUCKS ARE AMERICAN:10sign: Pheasants are commies (from china):mad: Vote for the good old USA guys:thumbsup::)

Some waterfowl are Canadian, Coot.

I let my DU membership lapse a few years ago, and gave the extra money to PF. I like how the local money stays local, and they take very little for administration and PR.

DU does a great job of promoting, fundraising, and merchandising though. It's pretty impressive how much of a brand they have become in the outdoors. My hats off to them and I hope they have continued success.

My decision to go with PF is just more about my own changing preferences. I used to be more into duck hunting, but given the choice, I would rather walk and let the dogs run than sit in a duck blind.

P.S. I voted "equally good". I like the model of PF, where the money stays local, but you can't deny DU's results.

Day 1 on my farm I had PF, DU, USFW, FSA and NRCS out and cooked em brats for lunch.

Didn't know what the heck I was doing 10 years ago. To this day all continue to be involved in the conservation efforts on my farm except DU.

Maybe they like teal breasts! Looks like your experience trumps the stated organization mandate.Glad the others are on the ball.

NWTF just joined forces with the 2 other above mentioned groups the should have a mention i know the do some good for dann near all other animals in nature...
