The flush

Was that the guy with the black lab. Raven? I watched it until I found out Raven was his first dog! Then I thought WTH, I've been watching, and taking notes from a guy who's shooting flare nares with his first dog that I'd bet someone else trained!!

I like Wild Upland better because it’s more about the dogs. I’m just glad to see a show that’s not deer hunting
Wild upland makes me laugh, as she always says we are more into good friends and good dogs then killing birds. You watch the whole show and maybe 1 or 2 birds are harvested after several days of hunting. I have to give a thumbs down to gun dog magazine for having an editor who owned a silver lab. It might be a great dog but it is not a lab, don’t call it a lab.

Now she’s into Setters

Ron Shara has been around since 1995 and I believe has had a few labs all named Raven. He is a very good upland hunter as are the rest of crew. I have watched it for years and I think every show I have watched were wild birds. I don’t get the grab ass part. I support pheasants forever and they make a great show. It is not all pheasants, many chukar, sharpie, hun, ptarmigan hunts.

Ya, I agree....they are running fair chase and hunt all over the country, especially Travis Frank. I have seen alot of episodes where alot did not work out for "harvesting limits".
I get it is a TV show and Ron Schara might not be able to pound the ground like he used to, but Travis, Bill and Scott certainly do.....and seeing alot of episodes, they aren't on private game farms.....they are on ALOT of public, or private property at times with good habitat, especially in the Dakota pheasant episodes.
I enjoy watching most of their programming.....including Due North Outdoors and Rooster Tales as well.

not sure I would context them in the phrase that the original "poster" of this did.......

I would, goose nailed it, I bet 90% of the pheasents Ron Shara ever shot in SD were pen birds. And that Travis Frank & all his fancy gear couldn't find them on public if his life depend on it. Is that wierd Bob Saint Piere still on it? I would keep a tight grip on the soap around him, I don't need alternative lifestyle crap in hunting shows. .

Don't recall seeing any Bob guy in the recent years.....
As for the rest, who knows...... I'll still watch the shows. 🤷‍♂️

You are dead wrong, Ever listen to Travis Franke on the podcasts, he has a wealth of info on pubic and onX. Sounds to me like somebody is jealous that these guys get to make a living with a dream job.

I remember the same hate for Chad Belding when he started The Fowl Life years ago. Say what you want about him, he knows waterfowl hunting. The Flush guys really know a lot about upland hunting.

I don’t know I watched one that took place in Kansas the end of last season. They showed the motel that they stayed at and the property they hunted on and it sure looked a place that I drive by regularly that has a fence around it. Now am a 100 percent No
I mean you have to take those shows for what they are. When I was a kid growing up old Harold Ensley wasn’t pounding public either. People lined up to have him hunt their property for the chance to be on TV. I have watched it a few times and found it tolerable. The episode where the dog dies in Idaho was pretty heartbreaking.

I like Travis franks dog but he is always a guest, would love to see one episode where he picked the spot and made the plan…. And be ready to shoot man!!

Yeah I don't know where they were finding those guys.

I watched them hunt a place by Lewistown, and I'm sure that they release some birds for those guys. That place is really tough to get birds usually.
