My good friend Tom lost his five year old shorthair two years ago. It was a really crappy deal as she was about to whelp a litter of pups and the heating blanket she was laying on to stay warm in the garage shorted out and burned the house down along with her and all his taxidermy. I told him that taxidermy was replaceable and would re do the pair of chukars he lost in the fire. But as I got to work on his birds I got a wild hair and decided to do a tribute to his dog as well. So I had an artist do a drawing from a photo I found on line and put it all together to memorialize his little Toad.

We just got through attending our Annual Utah Chukar and Wildlife Foundation banquet last night where I presented it to him in front of 300 people. He cried... We all cried...
