South Jersey Quail

I hope the rest of the farm has suitable habitat because from what I understand bobwhite quail need around 10,000 acres of connected, habitable cover to be a self sustaining population. Interesting project, I wish them success. Please keep us posted on how it goes.
 
Hopefully the PA Game Commission keeps an eye on this and sees how it works. Maybe they can use some of the info when their quail plan gets up and running (if it does).
 
From what I've been hearing they "Pa." are having a tough go of it, not finding ANY resident birds. We thought we were going to be able to locate a few pockets are report their location, but we were unable to confirm a wild population. Honestly though we haven't looked lately.
