South Dakota Game Stop

Like it or not, when you buy a hunting or fishing license in SD, you waive your right to not be checked for any reason per the law. I have been bugged more on the fishing than hunting side.

my biggest complaint is the asshole ND wardens who come to your door at 800 pm to count birds. i was always legal, but got tired of that crap and stopped hunting ND!

That they do. Known rental houses and motels in main areas of pheasant country / waterfowl country can become an easy target.

I suspect moving waterfowl limits to 3X the daily limit has probably lowered the number of violations on that side of the fence.

Simple rule is to eat 'em.

I think your generalization of a game checkpoint is a little over the top. How many times have you experienced this first hand?

We have check points/road blocks all the time down here. Plain and simple, they suck. Besides my law enforcement friends, I can't recall anyone young or old, male or female, who approve of them around here. Running late for work, picking up the kids before the mother-in-law has to get to work, have a function to make, or what ever? That's too bad. Pull over and let us check things out to make sure your being a good-boy or girl. But I am. Too bad, pull your ass over any way so we can double check how honest you are.

You can keep your road blocks my friend;).

Hopefully any SD violations on pheasants are traced back to the place where they stayed.

Hotel, motel, lodge, outfitter... those places should be hit hard with inspections to insure the owners of these places are not enabling or perpetuating the problem.

Probably has a more lasting impact ...
