I see alot of on chokes in this forum (good stuff) does anyone load 2 different shot size(for a double gun) I will load NP# 5 1/2 shot out of the IC and NP#4 out of the MOD barrel.

1 oz Kent 7,1/2 1450fps, bottom barrel 1st shot Mod, and 1,1/4 oz PF federal premium load at 1500fps in a IM choke 5 or 6 shot, for the second. All 2 and 3/4". With my last gun it was same load but the IM and full for follow up. Different patterns on the two guns.

You, sir, with your crafty chokes and loads, are not what pheasants want to trifle with, no sir! Mixing up chokes and loads is very effective -- and deadly.

I shoot mainly light mod and mod I use 7 shot (not 7.5 shot) with the light mod and 6's with the mod.........Bob

When carrying a double, 90% of the time its IC and M with 1 3/8 oz of 5's.

With my auto, its 90% M with 1 3/8 oz of 5's.

I shoot full choke whenever possible in all of my guns and gauges. My only double, the Model 21 Win has Mod/Full. I like having the longer range capability and usuallyhave the patience to let the close ones get out a bit.

For shot, I'll shoot whatever I've got but if I was only allowed one size, it'd be a hot load of 5's.

Perhaps this will change with the addition of my new GWP pup but old habits die hard.

I shoot an autoloader and choose the choke everyday depending on the conditions, number of hunters and dogs etc. I bring chokes and a wrench with me when I go, and change if I am posting. I ususally shoot steel shot with I.C.

I used to use just light 8 shot in skeet tubes- been using 7.5's last year- worked up a nice 7 shot 1 once load- skeet tubes- but I only shoot at pointed and held birds -shooting is rather fast and up close though

Brittchaser- Lawrence- hum- I've got 4 Britt's and Lawrence is quite familiar:)
