Well the wife gave us the green light to head back to Lacrosse friday. So me and my 12 yr old who is like mini me when it come to the outdoors are taken the 2 britts and the old lab back out with a buddy and his son. I am going to try to video and shoot some pics with the kids new camera. I sure hope he get a few shots. He hunted all deer season without getting a shot on a deer within 150 yrds.:(
Plus I think my lab needs a change of scenery from her currnet location. I still my have to take her Hello kitty pillow:eek:

Good luck! It's always nice to see another bird dog with their own love seat. the right side of mine might just as well say "Reserved for Hank."

Three friends and I are heading to Ness City this evening. One guy I'm taking doesn't get to go pheasant hunting much so hopefully we will find the birds again. I'm sure at least the roads will be in much better shape than 2 weeks ago when I was there. I plan on being out there a lot the next 2.5 weeks.

Thanks guys, This will be our last hunt for wild birds this season. I gave up the last week of the season to take the wife to Mexico since she was widowed in Oct by the hunting seasons.

May get to hunt some left over pen raised in Feb on my buddies controlled shooting area. Always fun for dogs, kids and poor shooters like me:D

Yea I'm going out this weekend too. It only cost me a round trip ticket to LA for some conference she wants to go too. Pretty cheap trade if you ask me.

I will admit I like going too. Sitting on a warm beach is a nice way to warm up after 3 months freezin on a deer stand. Plus she likes to fish so we may get to go bass fishing for a day. I actually looked at hunting roosters there but too close to the border for me with all that violence, but heard it is just awesome hunting. maybe some day!

Good Luck & Be Safe!

Why not have it all? The bird hunting in Mexico is really good if you pick your spots. Pointer, I don't know about you and Mexico, do they have a star on the confederate flag, or a team in the SEC?

Are you saying the 78 Power Wagon, with a 6 foot confederate flag, and Travis Tritt on the eight track might draw some attention or what?

now i am not going to argue that one, i can do without the 78 wagon though i do have a very keen eye for some bikinis they kind of look cross eyed at you in a 78 wagon lol roll tide

I'll pass on Travis Tritt, ( Is he even still alive?), and my bogus 8 track, by Lear, ( and made in Kansas, by the way), broke in 1978, but a confederate flag bikini, now that's an idea I could support, in Mexico or anywhere else!
