As promised I said I would give a report on Leola, Selby and Roscoe visits.
1 stop Leola and a place that normally has a lot of water in the sloughs was very dry, hot and drought stressed. Saw a few birds. Many potholes dried up. Crops looked stressed. Corn is dented.
Selby looked much better. 8' corn. Saw some hens with very small sized chicks. Seems to be a common occurrence across state.
Roscoe about the same but sloughs dry there too. Oddly enough the drought monitor reflects d2 drought conditions in the NE part of state which is normally pretty wet.
By the way I still have a spot at Gunners, week 2 for 4 and I really like what ground they added this year and will be a good hunt.
Also added a new Tier 1 camp west of Roscoe http://www.uguidesdpheasants.com/upland-ringneck/ Season is wide open and week 1 is 8, week 2 6 and rest of season is 4 minimum. Great opportunity.
