Remington Versa Maxx

I just read that Rem has some problem with the hammer being "out of specification" and is recalling all the Versa Maxs (I did verify this at Rems web site.) What! It has barely gotten out the the chute and they have a quality control problem already?
 
Sadly a proud old American name has been sacrificed by a cost accountant mentality, I wouldn't trust anything they currently make. It pains me to say so, I've shot more game with a remington 1100 LT-20, than I can count.
 
Rem. must have found one gun to work for the GUNS magazine writer on his Remmy-sponsored trip to Alberta. After extolling all of its virtues in the article, he must not have seen the "recall" notice...........
