Some of you fellas need to strip down and start your very best renditions, I can't do it all from down here in the south.


How bad is it on the ground? I've been watching the forecast in some of my favorite areas and haven't seen any appreciable amounts to talk about.

Around Brookings it hasn't been near enough. Under a 1/2" a couple of times but warm/hot temps with wind this next week aren't going to do anyone any favors.

Ah yes, the dreaded drought thread.

It's dry in western MN too. Eastern half is in good shape, but the western portion needs it. And I'm seeing 90+ degrees for a few days early next week...

The big sioux river is all but gone. A little lake in the area actually is gone. Vanished.

I'll do what I can to send all our rain here in NW Arkansas your way. We got just over 12" in April!

We had 20 inches in a day last June. Then nothing the rest of the year

Starting to see the jetstream shift in the forecast that will hopefully bring some moisture to the upper midwest over the next 3 weeks. Not holding my breath though. Going to be a lot of exposed mudflats for duck opener here in SD this fall.

Looks like a possible shift in pattern starting Thursday/Friday. The forecast I saw is predicting a couple of inches of rain for a sizable portion of central South Dakota.
