Quail hunting for sure. A good brace of dogs on a solid point and then the startling flush of 25-30 quail bursting in all directions will always get your heart pumping for more! The Dogs like the challange of these little buggers, I live to hunt em; and most of all, my wife loves to eat em.

I choose Pheasants, only because that is all I can hit!!!!!:cheers:

I've learned one thing about Maynard. He always seams to be hungry.
 
How about eggs,ham and homemade buttermilk biscuts sound M.R.
 
You bet.I have a friend that butchers his own hogs and smokes the hams himself.We have a deal set up,when I help him on butchering I get a whole ham and some of the other cuts of meat that his kids won't eat.I usually get the feet,jowls and the cuts like that.
 
If I can find it I have a recipe to make a type of salad with phez or quail. It's made similar to chicken salad but done different. It's from a lady that I knew that came up with it in the 1930's.
