Here's hoping I can get out there & join the rest of you diehard boys for one last hoorah sometime this week or wknd be4 season ends! :cheers: Not sure if I can squeak a day in, since my boy is on round 3 of chemo (all of them have gone pretty hard so far) & I'm backed up on must-do catch up work to boot...

Managed to get out over a dozen times last yr (a couple of them multi-day trips), only been out 3 days total this yr due to circumstances during possibly the best CO pheasant population in decades...Oh well, it's better than NONE!!!

At this point, I would be perfectly happy just watchin my dog wag his tail in the prairiegrass one more time & seeing some of the abundant leftover seed-stock showing off their superior W-I-L-Y genes as they wave their wings goodbye from afar!!! :eek: :D A golden sunrise/sunset or couple birds in the bag would be a mere bonus! If I can't pull it off, somebody get out there & knock down a couple for me... :thumbsup:

Prayers for your son.

Hope you can get out in the field. You know I have yet to see a Colorado rooster, but maybe one day. Saw plenty of antelope last week along 287 from Limon to Lamar. I will probably travel that route again this next week. Lord willing, one day I will chase one of them.

I love a good sunset too, but only have Kansas and Alaska sunsets on file. Need a good Colorado sunset pic, but until then, here is a Kansas sunset.

HHR, continuing to send good vibes to you and your boy. If you can't get loose before Monday to chase some birds, rest assured there'll be plenty next year. I was near Holyoke yesterday, hens were coming up in clouds. The breeding stock is HEALTHY! :thumbsup: Barring a killer stretch of cold/snow or a bone-dry spring, we should see another banner year next season.
 
Thx for all the prayers, thoughts & good vibes guys! It must have werked, cause my son has had a much better go of it for his 3rd round of chemo compared to the 1st two!!! :thumbsup:
