Potato peelings

Guys, I know your going to go HA?

But my dogs love potatoes. when I'm peeling potatoes. The dogs all sit right at my feet and fight over the peelings. I even find them stealing taters right from the bag sometimes. I haven't found them to bother them. I even searched the net looking for the bad's..None

I know they have a fair amount of vitamin C which is good for them. I also don't have to clean up the potato peelings after peeling taters before supper. They are all gone.

It must be the difference in dog's Tony will not eat spuds, in anyway shape or form. But carrots and other veggies, he just loves them, he will fight for a carrot......Bob

My pup loves taters. She'll about do backflips for watermellon. Loves banana's and apples. And she loves her veggies.

This thread blows me away:eek:?

Never in a million years would I have thought they'd want such things, but might just give it a try (for fun)?

Moe :D

Any food product that leaves my hand or hits the floor is gobbled up by my hounds as well. Carrots, celery, and potato's are favorites at my house as well.

Dog an Omnivore

Mine will eat any veg cooked and some raw. He ate raw apple peels and cores yesterday.

I have to throw cucumbers into the mix as well. Its fun sharing the veggie tray with my dog. I done quite a bit of research into dogs and veggies....outside of a very few exceptions, they are totally harmless and are actually recommended as vitamin suppliments. Just avoid onions, grapes, oranges and grapefruit.

Mazzie loves lettuce esp the core plus carrots and last nite the broccoli stems. Wife can't make salad without Mazzie showing up. The other house dog could care less.

Need to add butter or gravy for my dogs. Cooked of course.:)
They much prefer burger.
