Possession limits raised

Just a heads up in case yoi just skimmed through the regulations this year (I know I did the first time) but possession limit has been raised to 3 times the daily bag limit for most upland game. This will make it a little easier on those of us that take a week or more off to chase birds.

Robert,

That's cool. AZGFD raised our possession limit too. I like the Idea, for the same reason you do.

Even the U.S. Fish and Game did the same thing. Raised waterfowl limits to three! Now if we can use punt guns, shoot at night, and use eight gauges we'd be in step with the International Regulations.

I've always wanted to use a punt gun.:D

I love a young man's enthusiasm brought on by the potential of shooting 9 pheasants in Calif. Be careful of flying too close to the sun as you may crash to earth...without a possession limit. The state of public land pheasant hunting is so poor in Calif. I wonder why they even bother with a possession limit on pheasants?

Don't be so optimistic Cal.:D

What was thier reason for raising the limit? 3X?

People who hunt with springers.:D

Really I assume it had most to do with dove hunting but the possession limit was also raised on quail, chukar, grouse, pheasant, and snipe. I like it personally. Finishing quail season in January with 30 birds (hopefully) in the freezer will let me enjoy a few more fried quail dinners during the long off season.
