Wpa's are state owned so state funds them. National park and Federal wildlife refuges are owned by the Federal government so they will be shut down.

They’re part of the US Fish and Wildlife Service…that’s how nonresidents can hunt them during the first week of the ND pheasant season, they’re not state land, which is off limits to nonresidents during the first week…

What did I miss? The US Fish and Wildlife Service, part of the Department of the Interior…just like the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, etc…main point, it‘s not a state entity, like someone had stated...most federally owned land falls under the jurisdiction of the Department Of The Interior…75%, to be exact…the US Forest Service manages the other 25%. The former has about 500,000,000 acres under its jurisdiction, the latter about 125,000,000 acres. WPA’s total over 2,000,000 acres, mostly in MT, ND, SD, and MN…they’re part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, which again,is part of the Dept of the Interior. Glad there’s such sharp fact checkers here…🤡

This was the origin of my post…WPA’s aren’t state entities…again, that’s why nonresidents can hunt WPA’s in ND during the first week of their pheasant season, when any state sponsored/owned public land is off limits.
