This is an oldie, but a goodie. Pheasant Hunters on the South Dakota pheasant hunting opener get corn stalks in their engine block. They rented a Jeep Liberty and yes, they did get the insurance. This video actually came from an old co-worker of mine when I was working and living in Sioux Falls, SD. Her husband rented the Liberty. Enjoy...

Note: A few cuss words were spoken after a quick explosion. That explosion is the gun shells they had in the back seat. Took the firefighters a little bit to get to the scene as you can tell by the corn all burnt around the vehicle.

Your talkin' to a city boy that has been exposed to a bit of country in his day.

Hey, nothing like a 7 day hunting road trip though!

Thats not what happened at all. They were road hunting near Landmans ground and only he knows the true story.

that explosion is the gas tank exploding, not shells. if it was shells, youd be seeing sparks.

believe me, Im am(was) an accident investigator and majority of my accidents calls were burning vehicles, and that was a gas tank exploding.

Makes sense. Ironic that is goes off just when he says "Think there is any gas...BANG...SH@$@#$%%$!!!!

well normally bullets will go off at random and keep firing, this is one big BANG and shells dont go off all at once. ironically, believe it or not, shells dont always fire in excessive heat. however if it was shotgun shells, they are plastic, they would of just explode like a firecracker rather than an explosion bc the BBs are now fallen AWAY from the gun powder.

find a video of shells exploding in fire. i couldnt find one on youtube but again it is EXTREMELY dangerous to be around shotgun shells that explod bc you dont want to be at the end of the shell. I wouldnt suggest anyone doing a demostration at all.

Well, then I stand corrected.

It was the Argus Leader's AD director's husband's vehicle. Really mollersd, where did it happen then? Around Landman's land? I've hunted with Landman on a couple of occasions.

What birdman is saying makes good sense. As a youngster I was at a party where folks had a bon-fire they were throwing old boxes of books, cards, and everything in. There were some rifle rounds:eek:and shot gun rounds in the mix. After hearing the first one I ran like hell and found cover, but was still close enough to witness the spectacle. Like birdman suggested, there were sparks everywhere and the explosions (pops) were very random.
