Pheasant Fest Interesting

Went to the Pheasant Fest yesterday. It was smaller than I expected. I spent all my time looking at the displays - lots of pups and dogs were there which I really liked. There were GSP's, Labs, Springers, Brits, Small Munsterlanders, Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, English Setters, Pointers, and Goldens. I did not attent any of the events so my impression is limited to the displays. It did not seem very youth oriented.

Britchaser, don't forget the Boikins (sp?) Also, there was a whole Youth Village at one corner of the exhibitor floor (air rifles, bow shooting, fishing simulator, and much more).

I think attendance records were broken and I know for sure that the Saturday Night main banquet broke all previous records.

Come to St. Paul for the 30th Anniversary Convention and I assure you it will be even bigger on all fronts.

I agree, it was a smaller venue than I expected. But still a lot of fun.

The wife and I had a great time on Sat. We ran into a bunch of people we knew from all over. Enjoyed it a whole bunch.

Wow. Maybe I am easily impressed, I thought it was quite large and a very nice event. I was looking for a new addition to the hunting family and just didnt have enough cash stashed away for the pups at the show but there were a lot of nice gsp lines as well as a great litter of setter pups.

I had to go to IL state PF meeting/banquet this year so I couldn't attend both state and Nat'l due to time constraints.

God willing, I'll at Nat'l next year;).

Wish I could have gone this year, I did hear that next year at the Minneapolis Convention Center they are planning on the event almost being double the size compared to this year! Glad it's only 20 minutes away next year!! I am guessing our chapter and a couple others in the area will be there supporting it in large numbers! Hope everyone can make it next year!
