Remember, hawks do much of their hunting soaring high in the sky. While perched in trees its more of a resting mode.
Most hawk kills are made with speed from momentum and surprise from the high dives.
Hawks are much more successful in open areas, pheasants and other gamebirds have the advantage where there's trees and brushy cover.
DO NOT!! put the feeders in the open.
