Opening Weekend plans

Well, for me it is packing and checking the "list" to make sure I have everything packed for myself and my twin boys who just turned 12. We will be making the 900+ mile drive out to the wonderful state of Kansas Monday afternoon in one clip arriving in KC Tuesday morning.

Can't wait...

We will load up the family tonight and head west. Hunting tomorrow with brother-in-laws and friends. Celebrating my daughter's 7th birthday tomorrow night. Hunt Sunday morning and head home.

Leaving next Thursday night for 3 days in South Dakota with a buddy, 2 cousins and an uncle. Biting at the bit!! Nothing better than time in the field with friends and family. Can't wait for my kiddos to get old enough to start tagging along.

Safe travels and hunting to all those in the field this fall!!
 
Headed out towards Chapman tomorrow morning. Hunting private ground out there. Hopefully get a good mix of phez and quail. Will be my pups first time on wild birds.

Made it to Quinter mid afternoon. Got to meet Jerry aka jarb03. Fellas he is a for real hunter. Well mannered dog and seems to have alright friends. Fun to meet fellow forumers.
 
I'm headed back from out of town and planning on hitting some WIHA tomorrow off I70, probably near Salina. Hopefully there's some birds left!
