Unfortunately that's in hold.Jonesy has a foot issue,and river is 11 but still hunting well for that age. She can't hit the thick cover much.

Should be birds shot and recovered per day. I would bet you lose more birds than anyone else in here and could care less about it. If I lost that many birds in a whole season I’d be taking a hard look at my shooting and my dog’s ability and training.

I spent over 20 minutes looking for a bird a few days ago, encouraging the pup who kept giving up on it. Finally, I heard wings flap and then silence. GPS had her 100 yards away. Walked to her and she is laying on it in a pile of feathers. It wasnt tore up, but dead. Wouldve liked to see how that went down.
Losing a bird drives me nuts. A guy shouldnt hunt if they routinely lose wounded birds. At least try to fix whatever the problem is.
