O/U and a SxS

Here this should satisfy both the SxS people and the O/U people..

I actually saw an article by some Englishman, with a 4 barrel Lancaster, shooting targets and reporting on the history and usefulness of the gun. It was in the "Doublegun Journal", about 2 years ago. I wonder if you tried to use it for waterfowl, what the Fed's would think? Loaded with only 3 shells of course. I believe the gun in the report was a 10ga. as well. Of course in England the silly ass 3 shot rule and gauge restrictions don't apply. If there's a reasonable bag limit, and we aren't shooting birds on the water, what sense does all the restrictions make? I don't really see the difference if some guy wants to shoot flying with an 8 gauge. Reality is that a modern 10ga. has as much throw weight as a 1900 vintage 8ga. Besides the headache and bloody nose would probably limit the number of shots a guy would want to try anyway!

Dickson made a 3-barrel that actually looked reasonable....the 4 might be a tad muzzle heavy.

3 shot restrictions seem an easy requirement to live with but the 8 gauge ban is a mite outdated.
Some market hunting indeed cast a black eye that has remained a long time.

Here's a 3 barrel rifle SxS, very sweet gun

Wonder what the weight of that 4-barrel is? Probably wouldn't want to carry it in the pheasant fields all day !

With the rifle sight on the barrel I would guess that is a heavy bore game gun. designed for Africa, and probably paradox design with faint rifling for shooting lead ball ammo. Of course it would fire shotshells as well. But built for stopping a charging rhino. Loaded with cordite in brass shells, you can almost smell the dark continent.

Does it come with wheels?
