New Twist?

I have not heard of that yet, in fact I told the guy that my sons might farm the land that I have rented him and he raised the rent $20 dollars an acre. If the prices for grain stay low, rent will come down.

I heard of a case or two of renters"walking" away from their contracts in my neighborhood last spring. Not widespread, but it does not suprise me. How long can cash rent and land prices go up with grain well down from the highs that pushed land prices up? Heard about the John Deere layoffs on the radio yesterday. I used to hunt with the combine boys from Quad Cities. Hope they can get back next fall.
