New Sock Observation

This past weekend allowed me to try out some new socks. I recently got these as a gift and they were the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. I wore them inside my Filson Uplander boots one day and my Crispi boots the other two. The cushioning is remarkable. I got the over-the-calf socks and they are really tall. I am 6'3" and they came right up to the bottom of my knee.

I like Darn Tough socks. Made in USA and if you ever wear them out, they will replace them with a new pair.
Funny that you just posted this. I just started wearing those this weekend for the first time. I usually wear a liner type sock with regular over the calf Hanes socks over the top. I wanted to try something that might wick away the moisture with the outer sock too, so I bought a few different brands, and these were the first to arrive. I was in easy cover, so not a perfect test, but they did seem to be drier than my old system. They sure do fit snug though.

I have not had a blister since the 1980s. Maybe because I hike everyday and my feet are calloused, but I do like the snug fit of my Darn Tough socks and they are my go-to socks when I am going to hunt steep slopes on a long all day loop.

I wear darn tough 7 days a week, I will say the last 5 pair I ordered( all at once) broke down faster, bad batch? I use the ultra lightweight no cushion year round.

I started using these sock suspender things last year or the year before to keep the socks up. I've been using them with the Darn Tough socks too, but might not be needed due to their snugness.
