Adopted a rescue Brittany today who was being fostered in Blair NE. Not sure of his age, probably 4 or 5. We're home now and he's getting used to a new place and a new master. Has a vague background as is often the case with rescues. I think he'll do fine afield based on his love of the sound of a shotgun earlier today and his instant fetch of a pheasant dummy.
UPDATE: Rocky the rescue has been with me for three weeks. We get along fine. My vet thinks he's only about two. He's learned my hand signals for sit, down, and stay. When it cools off we'll go afield and work on range, directional arm signals, and e-collar orientation.
