New pheasant shotgun

You must have pulled the trigger, it says****SOLD****

Naw, it is the twin of the one available locally. Tagged at $550, dealer thinks it will sell for @ $500.

But I don't use the Stevens 311 12 ga I have now so it would be silly.

But tempting. :)

The pic of the gun you posted I've seen at the fur buyer that I go to. He gets one in 2 or 3 times a year and the gun shop that I go to had 2 of them in the last time I was there. He had at least 8 sxs shotguns when I was there.

I've had my Maxus 12 GA 28" 3.5" camo for three seasons and it's been flawless. It's lightweight at 7 lbs, light on recoil, easy to clean, handles all loads interchangeably, and makes an excellent "do everything" shotgun.

I went to Bass Pro today in Memphis and handled the SX3, Silver, Maxus,Montefeltro Silver and Ultra light. All good, but for me the Maxus and Montefeltro stood out. They did not have a wood Maxus, so I checked out the synthetic model. If the wood feels anything like the black model, that's probably the one I would pick. Really is a lot slimmer than I expected and just felt right. The Montefeltro was really nice also. I won't be getting the Monte silver as it is a little out of my price range. The regular Monte is the same price as the Maxus at Bass Pro. It's going to come down to these two more than likely. I have heard of some loose forearm issues on some of the earlier Maxus wood models. Has that been taken care of?

I have a Maxus 3" 28" and love it, lightest and easiest shooting gun I have ever shot!! I think my next gun will be a cynergy feather and after that maybe a A400 light??

I got rid of a nice Montefeltro to get a Browning Maxus, lighter and less recoil with heavy loads AND it cycles light target loads better.....

I bought a Benelli Ultra Light 12 gauge this year and love the gun. Haven't had a chance to hunt with it but I have shot some sporting clays with it. It tips the scales at 6 pounds 2 ounces. I used to shoot only 16 gauges but the BUL is filling their niche nicely.

I have a Benelli M1, Monte Silver and a SBEII love all three. Came very close to buying a M2 20 gauge but a blown head gasket on my car put a dent in my sock drawer money. I also have a Stoeger N2000. For the price I love that gun too. My bro-in-law has a Winchester SX2. Thing is a tank but he's a big boy. He is a big Winchester guy and wants the SX3 just hasn't figured out a way to get it in the house by my sister. Personally I'd go Benelli of Beretta.
