Boy, now I don't know what to do!
I shot a really nice 1970 Sweet Sixteen for a couple of seasons. Loved the gun, but it jammed on me so consistently that I just couldn't take it any more. I replaced the recoil spring, friction bushings, polished the bore, and tried different ammo, to no avail. I think I solved the problem by cleaning the action spring, but I was so teed off that I sold it for just short of what I paid for it, and it was a chunk of change. I just wasn't willing to spend $300 more and send it out to have it gone through. You walk eight miles and have a jam on the second shot and it just sends you right to the bar after the hunt because you're so pissed.
Well, now this gun comes out and I just ordered a Fabarm l4S, which I think is really a sweet shotgun, at 6lbs 12 oz. I'm not obligated and don't have money down, but the gun is on its way. I'd really like to go with the new Browning, but I'm worried that a sub 6lb gun could really be a kicker. I can only keep one upland gun. I'm retired and the stock market is like playing a slot machine. I regretted selling my old Browning, but now I really don't what to do. I figured a few of the part-time psychiatrists on this site could help me work through this.
