All the Brittanys originated from France. It's just that the ones brought over early got Americanized! Rumor has it that some Setter blood got mixed in to create bigger running dogs. Take one look at my 2 year old female and you can easily see that her rear quarters look more like those of a Setter than a Brittany. She doesn't have that "cobby" look as her body is a tad longer than her height. And I'm here to tell you that the dog has "wheels"!

yep- which dog wasn't imported- believe the indians didn't label their dogs
wheels- because it must have been bred to an English Setter-
you have researched your dog back 100 years and can show reason to believe somewhere there is reasonable suspicion to believe there is an English Setter in there
