More on Bee die off

Onpoint, My two older brothers have been long time bee keepers.
It's REALLY:eek: REALLY getting tough to keep the bees going.

Bees love a lot of stuff that everybody is spraying.
Right at bloom time. Yeah, hint. all kinds of weeds and stuff.:(

OP,

This is not good news. Thank you for sharing it with us. No bees, no food, it's that simple.

I hope someone is working on some gmo super bees.

Scary! Lets keep pumping chemicals so we can have ethanol. Another EPA FDA failure!

hmmm, that's weird. another thing that people have messed up with chemicals and, yet again, the only way to fix it is to stop interfering with the way things naturally work. maybe i'm just stupid and ignorant, but it seems like the more we change about nature the more we mess it up (and i'm not talking about encouraging native plant/animal growth and populations and actually helpful things like that, of course).

I am off subject here. I was wondering if anyone has raised bee's before. I think I might try it, but do not know anything about it!

Insects and aquatic life seem to be good indicators of how we screw crap up, or when we screw it up! Hope we can start to get ahead of the 8 ball. I am tired of relearning old mistakes.

Might be an expensive hobby to get into Bleu, established hives draw quite a premium. Somewhere between 3-5k if I'm not mistaken.

My Brothers, have over Wintered Bees.
It works best to harvest the honey and let the bees go.
Buy them by the pound in the Spring with a Queen in the mix.
Put them in a hive box. (You can get info on line). Make the hive Yourself saves a lot of money.
Not all that expensive.

Are them GMO Bee's?

I feel bad about shooting them in the off season to stay in practice now. I guess I'll have to mirror the daily limit here of two.

Good thing I use a Bee Bee gun to hunt them.

Lighten up - its a joke!
