If you are having a problem with recoil or fit, get an English stock for it. I bought my BUL in 2005. I went to Jaqua’s & they had 5 of them. I had them weigh them all & I bought the lightest one. The first time I shot a turkey load through it, it was pretty rough. I had a buddy make me an English style straight stock for it out of a beautiful piece of hickory from a vintage farm wagon he had. He also put a Limbsaver pad on it. That knocked the weight down about another 2 ounces, but the recoil was noticeably less. I have to have all of my buttstocks cut as I am only 5’6” AND have short arms. He cuts all of my stocks for me. He will only make English stocks for my single barrel guns & will not do my OUs & SSs, but he will shorten them. He has done several Benellis for me. Shortens my rifles too. The only thing I do not like about Benelli is that it is really hard - to impossible to find a shorter smoothbore barrel for them. They say they made a 24” barrel for the UL but I have never seen one. I would like to have a 21” barrel like my original 1100 special field. Mine has a 26”. I do have an M1 super 90 with the 20” barrel, & of course my buddy’s wood replacement English stock instead of the black synthetic.
