anyone have a feel for the ground moisture at this time? SW, SC, NW, NC?
Hoping the winter wheat is looking well sprouted for this time of year?
Looks like a nice little wet system is entering the state now......thks

Actually there is pretty good cover on much of the wheat around Dodge. Came back from KC on Tuesday through Hays and noticed a lot of the wheat along that route had little ground cover.

Just hoping we can have a good hatch on pheasant, quail and chicken this spring.

The turkeys are doing good.

My place south of Manhattan is a mud pit for now.
It's all about how much rain at the right or wrong time.

My records show that we have been quite a bit behind normal for several months. I'll take the snow, but I prefer a good rain. I hope we get more soon so it doesn't become a factor come burning season!

Looks like another good round of moisture coming in the next few days. At this point take anything you can get. A wet Feb and March and begining of April would be good, then it can be average the rest of the way. Hard to believe it is already that time of year. Some nice pockets of birds are just waiting for great conditions!!!!
